Course Length: 60-100 hours

The Internet of Things (IoT) stands to be the next revolution in computing. Billions of data devices connected to the Internet are already fundamentally changing the way we live and work. This course teaches a deep understanding of IoT technologies from the ground up. Students will learn how to program the Arduino and Raspberry Pi microcontrollers, sensing and actuating technologies, and security enforcement. Students will be guided through laboratory assignments designed to give them practical real-world experience.

By the end of this course students will be able to:

-Understand the basic programming concepts
-Identify the characteristics of digital transformation
-Identify the basic components of an IoT system
-Understand how IoT systems work
-Design, prototype, build, and secure an IoT system
